Hydrotherapy

The use of water for therapeutic aims is called hydrotherapy. Water is used in the different forms, of various temperatures and under different pressure for therapeutic treatments as well as preventive ones (SPA). In water treatments the patient is affected by thermal, hydrostatic and mechanical factors. Those procedures allows for muscle relaxation, tissue congestion, increased outflow of lymph and venous blood supply to heart.

Mainly applied to:

  • in the initial stages of arterial hypertension,
  • nervous hyperexcitability,
  • migraine,
  •  insomnia,
  • peripheral circulation disorders,
  • as additional treatment in diseases with muscle hypertension.

1. Hydromasagge – Water massage with water streams flowing from 12 nozzles placed on the walls of a bathtub filled with water. It relaxes muscles, lessens pains, causes the dislocation of systemic fluids, increases blood circulation and improves metabolism. This treatment is also used for psychophysical hyperexcitability.
2. Pearly bath with hydromassage – Pearly bath with an additional massage of water streams flowing from 12 nozzles placed on the walls of a  bathtub. It relaxes muscles, causes tissue congestion and the dislocation of systemic fluids, increases venous blood supply to heart, improves metabolism and gives the feeling of loosening and relaxation.
3. Pearly bath – Bath in a bathtub with ordinary water connected with delicate massage of air bubbles. It causes the loosening of body and gives the feeling of relaxation, has the soothing and sleeping effect
4. Manual underwater massage – It is the shower of physically powerful stream of water applied to submerged body by therapist. The blood circulation is stimulated and metabolism improved by means of deep penetration of tissues. This massage causes loosening of muscles, nervous tension lessening and relaxation of pain syndromes.
5. Automatic underwater massage – It is the shower from 170 nozzles placed on the walls of a bathtub, which is conducted in given sequences; from distal to central parts of body. It causes the relaxation of muscles, dislocation of blood and lymph, increases blood circulation and improves metabolism. This treatment is used in hyperexcitability, insomnia, muscle hypertension and ailments connected with the menopause with very good results.
6. Underwater massage with colour therapy Caracall I and II – It is the set of techniques and methods of affecting man’s behaviour with the use of appropriately chosen colours. It helps to get rid of problems that everyone’s organism has to deal with such as the issues of reduced immunity, counteracting allergies, removing depression, sleeping disorders, improving work of circulation system, regulation of metabolism. This treatment relies on a bath with hydromassage enriched with stream of air bubbles and the effect of eight light colours that change in sequence.
7. Whirling massage of upper and lower limbs – It is the stable shower applied to limbs kept under water flowing from the nozzles placed on the walls of little bathtubs. It causes muscle relaxation, swelling lessening, blood circulation and metabolism improvement.
8. Scottish whips – It is the shower of physically powerful stream of water of changeable temperatures applied to body. For 1-2 minutes water of 40º C is alternating used with water of 20º C, which is applied for about half a  minute. This treatment has a stimulating effect on blood circulation system, toughens an organism, decreases blood pressure and calms down.
Whirl bath of changing warmth for upper and lower limbs – It is used as partial treatment applied to limbs by means of changing temperature. This treatment improves kinetic efficiency of blood vessel walls, stimulates blood circulation, increases immunity and facilitates falling asleep. It proves the powerful relaxing effect.
