It is the medical treatment using natural factors such as mineral water, peat and gauze in the form of different procedures:
- BATHS.
Saline bath – bath in a bathtub filled with natural chloro-sodium water. Stimulation of skin receptors influences the autonomic nervous system and improves skin blood flow, decreases nerve excitability, normalises blood pressure and improves regulation of blood circulation.
Saline bath with hydromassage – saline bath enriched with a stable shower from 12 nozzles placed on the walls of a bathtub. Apart from chemical effect, it contributes to muscle relaxation, dislocation of systemic fluids and improves metabolism. Saline baths are used in rheumatoid diseases, joints and backbone degenerative diseases, bones and joints post-injury conditions, illnesses with an increased muscle tension, neurosis, chronic respiratory disorders, peripheral circulation disorders.
Carbonic acid bath – bath in the water with carbon dioxide. It stimulates respiratory system to work, increases the amount of oxygen in blood, improves lung ventilation, and contributes to the widening of capillary vessels, which improves heart work. By increasing coronary flow and diuresis, it normalises blood pressure.
Application: arterial hypertension I and II degree, myocardial and peripheral vessel diseases, diabetes, conditions of convalescence.
- AEROSOL THERAPY
Saline inhalation – means inhalation of aerosols containing chloro-sodium ions. Aerosol is produced by means of pneumatic system in the set of Bergsson’s nozzles. It improves the efficiency of respiratory system by affecting bronchial tree and lungs.
Special inhalation – means inhalation of aerosols containing pharmaceuticals (medicine). Aerosol is produced by means of pneumatic system in the set of Bergsson’s nozzles. It improves the efficiency of respiratory system by affecting bronchial tree and lungs. Medicine recommended by the doctor strengthens the therapeutic effect of inhalation.
- PELOIDOTHERAPY
Peat compresses – heated peat compresses made of therapeutic peat are put on the sick part of body. By means of semipermeable foundation this treatment does not leave any dirt on skin. Due to the contact of organic and non-organic elements with skin and skin heating, it improves blood circulation, lessens pain, relaxes involuntarily tensed muscles and reduces inflammatory reaction. Compresses are used in chronic pain syndromes of motor organs, for degenerative changes, in discopathy and radiculopathy, in rheumatologic diseases during the periods of remission.
